Being where you are

Being where you are

Have you ever wished you were some place else? Like on a train heading for an unknown destination. Or on a mountain over looking the valley of life. Needing to see what's around the next corner; an explorer. Well, just forget it, 'cause we are only life traveling vessels designated to eat, work and sleep. At regular hours. Or are we not? Maybe we are a combination of both. As a child I dreamed of being a circus artist, because I admired the athletic people that could fly, balance them selves and plates on a stick and take the audience's breath away with their art. And constantly being on their way to the next place. But I never joined any circus, except the one called the art of living. I have a niece that thinks that she can run away, escape from herself. Now she is locked in. Literally. I wish I could help her and tell her that reality is a balance of being who you are, where you are and doing what you can with what you have. And staying in one place …
